Who is this Qualification for?
MEM20219 Certificate II in Engineering – Production Technology would prepare a person to perform in a range of varied activities or knowledge application where there is a clearly defined range of contexts in which the choice of actions required is usually clear and there is limited complexity in the range of operations to be applied.
Performance is normally within a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and some accountability for the quality of outcomes is required.
Applications may include some complex or non-routine activities involving individual responsibility or autonomy and/or collaboration with others as part of a group or team.
Production Technology leads into the MEM30119 Certificate III in Engineering – Production Systems with further development of skills than at MEM20219 Certificate II in Engineering – Production Systems level, starting and including production work.
This is a Nationally Recognized qualification.
Prerequisite Requirements
As per individual units of competency chosen within this qualification.
Program Overview
This is a competency-based program.
You must complete all core units of competency, and additional elective units to the value of at least 46 points.
Relevance to engineering workplace requirements can be tailored via selection of elective units.
Pathways
MEM20219 Certificate II in Engineering – Production Technology
Participants who successfully complete this qualification have the option of a future pathway into the following:
- Certificate IV in Engineering
- Diploma in Engineering
- Advanced Diploma in Engineering
- and other Engineering Qualifications
Participants may continue studies through to enrolment in a university degree, applying for articulation on a case-by-case basis.
