Who is this Qualification for?
MEM30522 Certificate III in Engineering – Technical would prepare a person for selecting, adapting and transferring skills and knowledge to new environments and providing technical advice and some leadership in resolution of specified problems. This would be applied across a range of roles in a variety of contexts with some complexity in the extent and choice of options available.
Technical employment may include production planning – scheduling, work study and estimating materials, handling systems and like work, also including design and drafting with Computed Aided Drafting and Design, inspection, quality control, supplier evaluation, laboratory, non-destructive testing, technical purchasing and design and development work (prototypes, models, specifications) in both product and process areas.
This is a Nationally Recognised qualification.

This is a competency-based program.
The minimum requirements for achievement of the MEM30522 Certificate III in Engineering – Technical are;
- completion of all mandatory units of competency
- completion of 7 elective units
Relevance to engineering workplace requirements can be tailored via selections of electives.
Pathways

Participants who successfully complete this qualification have the option of a future pathway into the following:
- Certificate IV in Engineering
- Diploma in Engineering – Technical
- Advanced Diploma on Engineering
- And other Engineering qualifications
Participants may continue studies through enrolment in a university degree, applying for articulation on a case-by-case basis.
